I know I haven’t been on here for a long while. It took me a while to find balance in my life as a mother, a real-estate agent, a Health and Fitness coach, a wife, and just to be myself. But, the more and more I thought about it, the more and more I found what truly was my passion, because of my daughter.
My “Yes” Story
Years ago, I started this business as a Health and Fitness coach to reach some goals physically. I doubted my ability to be successful but figured, “what do I have to lose?” So I gave it a shot. I didn’t do it for recognition or because I thought I was capable of coaching others. I did it because I wanted to be better–I was pretty close to rockbottom emotionally. At the time, I made Matt remind me on a monthly basis he wasn’t going to get sick of me and find someone else. You see, I was stuck in a victim mentality because of past relationships. I just wanted to LOVE MYSELF and allow myself to BE LOVED without questioning it.
My coaching gig? It encourages us to make some daily “me” time by listening to personal development. I’m so thankful for that. Our relationship has flourished, my confidence is at an all time high, and the best part?
I now spend every day reminding this little girl how amazing, smart, beautiful, loved, and important she is. I know that she looks up to me, and I know that I will forever be a role model to her. It really matters what I say, but even more so, what I do. If I am affirming her all the time, yet turn around and say negative things about myself, my body, or my ability to do anything, what does that tell her? Think about it…
This silly little direct sales gig I said yes to five years ago has not only changed my life, it’s changed the life of the most perfect baby girl that I didn’t even know I even wanted at the time. She may not realize it yet. But, by example, my “yes” will allow her to grow up healthy and happy with a positive body image.
God is funny that way… He brings things into your life when you can’t even understand the BIG plans He has for you. If I had listened to the negative chatter in my mind, who knows where my life would be right now?
Find Your Best “Yes”
I’m not telling you to sign up with BeachBody under me as a Health and Fitness coach (although it would be awesome!). No. I am telling you to take a chance on yourself. Find that passion, that goal, that dream that will change your life around.
Do you want to publish a book? Run a marathon? Create an Etsy shop? Lose 10 pounds? Go back to school? Start a blog? Apply for that one job? Leave a toxic relationship? Travel the world?
Don’t be afraid. Don’t listen to the negative talk. Don’t listen to the chatter in your mind. Don’t doubt. Just say “yes”.
And who knows? It may just change your life. It may just change the life of your family. It may just set the best example possible in positivity, determination, self-love, tenacity, bravery, and hope to your children. They deserve it. But, more than that…
