Hiii Hiii Hiii!
My name is April McDonald and I am a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, Online Health Coach, Wifey, and Dog Mama!
My mission is to help other women love the skin they’re in a little more each day. I love spreading the #PerfectlyImperfect message to others. We don’t have to look like models on the front of magazines to feel pretty. SHOOT, the girls on the magazines don’t even look like that without touchups! I believe in helping women love themselves where they are, as they are, while they are on their journey of being the healthiest version of themselves.
I suffered from eating disorders (mostly bulimia) for about 8 years off and on. I had TERRIBLE self confidence for 10 years and am STILL working on improving it from 7+ years of emotionally abusive relationships. I let men tell me I was replaceable, I could be thinner, I could dress nicer, and they could find anyone else in a heartbeat if they wanted to. I stayed because all I wanted, was to feel WANTED. I thought, if I lose weight, if I wear nicer clothes, if I do more for them, they will want me. NOPE. I was never going to be good enough in their eyes.
Fast forward to now, those pigs were total losers and saw women as possessions not equals. I am blessed with the MOST amazing husband in the whole world, who tells me EVERYDAY how beautiful I am first thing in the morning. He tells me WHY he loves me so much, he kisses me on the forehead, he proudly shows me off to his friends. He is my ROCK. This man is the number one reason I was able to beat my eating disorder, because I FINALLY felt WANTED, NEEDED, and MORE than enough.
I am here to help you feel better, laugh more, stress less, and realize that No MATTER WHAT, you are more than enough for God. He made you exactly as you are for a reason. If you are good enough for HIM, you are good enough for anyone on this earth, including you. We are often our own worst critics. I’m here to tell you that you are Perfectly Imperfect. You are beautiful, you are kind, you are smart, you are strong, and you are ENOUGH. I would love to connect with you on Facebook, so add me as a friend, here: Let’s Be Friends, Yo!
I hope you remind yourself how amazing you are, today!
Xo,
April McDonald, MS, RCEP
PS- You are gorgeous! 🙂
