Clean eating meal prep is Not as hard as you think!
Soooo this Saturday my friends either had plans, were working, or were out of town. I spent the day working out with the pup, grocery shopping, then I meal prepped.
We’ve been working on off leash training and I am so proud of this handsome man for how far he has come. LOL He gets so annoyed when I keep walking away and SO EXCITED when he gets to “break” and run back to me. Do you have pets? Have you ever wanted to teach them to sit and stay when you commanded? I have the most wonderful dog trainer if you’re in the Charlotte area, I’m happy to share his info! <3 I love this guy! We ran 3 miles then he went to the dog park Saturday and chased dogs like crazy! He was pooped!
All of this meal prep you see was finished in two hours. I’m set for like 2 weeks! It’s so not hard, and if you don’t have the time to bang it all out at one time, I’m sure you can spend an hour to cook for the week! I’ll walk you through the meals I made!
And now for the Turkey Lettuce Wraps!
My fiance is a manager at PF Changs, and HOLY MOLY do I loveee their Lettuce Wraps. In an effort to fight my cravings and help stay on track of eating clean, I created my own!
1TBS EVOO
1 lb. organic ground turkey
4 cloves garlic minced
3 scallions chopped (including white part)
1 TBS Ginger
1.5 TBS Organic Soy Sauce
1.5 TBS Sriracha
2 TBS Sweet & Sour Sauce (Trader Joes)
1 Bunch of romaine leaves, or butter lettuce
In skillet – cook green onions and garlic until soft, add ground turkey and cook until lightly browned. Add ginger, soy sauce, and Sriracha – can add more or less to taste. Cook for 3 more minutes, then top with sweet & Sour sauce – serve on bed of lettuce with avocado and Plain greek yogurt! YUM!
MACROS: 183 Calories per 1/2 cup serving. CARBS: 5g, FAT: 8g, Protein: 23g (Does not include avocado and greek yogurt.)
SO FREAKING GOOD!! You must try! You can always add honey if you prefer it sweeter, or if you have added too much Sriracha!
Last but not least, I made pre-made smoothies. I put them all together in a bag and will add 1 scoop of protein powder and 1/2 cup almond milk and will be in SMOOTHIE HEAVEN!
1 Cup banana
1 Cup Strawberries
Small handful Spinach
Chop and put in ziplock bag in freezer. Add 1 scoop protein powder and 1/2 cup almond milk and you are out the door! I am always on the go, so anything that saves me even MINUTES is GoLdeN to me! You must try this! :)’
I also got a food scale at Aldis for $10 and I measured and weighed out my veggies (mushrooms, squash, carrots, and cucumbers) to pair with hummus. I measured out veggies for my salad that I will add a can of tuna and my Greek Yogurt/Sriracha salad dressing. The scale is really fun to weigh things, it’s addicting! Like how much does my hand weigh and let’s guess how many almonds are REALLY supposed to be in a serving haha. It was really helpful for plugging things into myfitnesspal which I am going to be using again because I am DETERMINED to get even better results and this is all included in my OPERATION HONEYMOON ABS!
