This picture takes me back to so many memories. Isn’t it so hard to go back and look at photos and remember all the feelings you were experiencing then? This was not a happy time in my life.
On days like this, I would get up, & drive 40 minutes to work to teach a 6:30 am bootcamp (for a measley extra $25, that’s how broke I was), then I would go for a run, take a quick shower and nap in my car outside work before I had to be back at work until 8 pm. Then I would drive home 40 minutes, and work my business for a few hours before going to bed alone because my husband wouldn’t be home until 2am. Then, the next day, I’d do it all over again. Somedays, I’d get home and go teach another Insanity class, again to make a measley $20.
Matt would be sleeping when I left, and I was sleeping when he got home. That KILLED me. I would pack a pillow and blanket just so I could get a little nap in my car. I was M.I.S.E.R.A.B.L.E.
I now get to plan my day, work from home, wakeup without an alarm, and see my husband about a million times more than I got to back then. Let me be clear, my life is NOT rainbows and skittle pooping unicorns, I still struggle and have bad days, but the bad days are few and far between compared to what I used to go through.
I am so grateful that this little side job of helping other women has totally taken my life through a 180 degree transformation. <3 I am just in awe of it all, and so thankful that through this journey, I’ve found peace, I’ve found faith, and I’ve found my purpose.
